Stacy Humphries is an experienced legal search consultant and former general counsel. Before becoming a recruiter, she served as the V.P. of Legal Affairs for the Houston Rockets organization, where she managed the legal department and served as a member of a seven-person senior management team during the development and opening of Toyota Center. She began her legal career as a transactional associate at Vinson & Elkins. Stacy received her law degree cum laude from Harvard Law School and her B.A. magna cum laude from Duke University, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Since 2004, Stacy has used her unique blend of law firm and in-house legal experience to place attorneys ranging from junior associates to general counsels. A member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Legal Search Consultants (NALSC), Stacy is consulted regularly as a source by national and local legal publications regarding trends in lateral hiring, and she has served as an expert witness on attorney compensation and marketability.

Stacy participated in the Center for Houston’s Future’s Business Leadership Forum in 2009, and is active in local non-profit organizations including Dress for Success Houston and Habitat for Humanity Houston. Personally, Stacy is a proud finisher of several sprint-distance triathlons, the MS150 bike ride, Avon Walk New York, and the San Diego Half-Marathon.
