Senior Paralegal
Fortune 100 international pharmaceutical company in the Bay Area seeks a senior paralegal to negotiate and draft commercial agreements, including confidentiality, consulting, research, supply, development, and material transfer agreements. Our client has continuously received top honors and awards in its industry, and consistently been named on Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” list. This paralegal will have the opportunity to interact with all levels of management and, with demonstrated leadership ability, will be considered as a potential successor to the Paralegal Supervisor. As such, this position performs substantive legal work including analysis, drafting, negotiating and consulting; resolves everything from routine to complex legal matters with minimal supervision; independently analyzes problems and proposes solutions and represents the company externally to customers, suppliers, competitors, opposing counsel or government agencies and in-house to internal clients.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 4 years of experience drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements; will be proficient in Microsoft Word; and should possess extensive knowledge of database entry and reports, as well as knowledge of general legal concepts and terminology. Experience working in either a law firm or in-house legal setting is required, as well as a bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate. Our client is looking for an experienced Firm Administrator, the successful candidate must have at least four (4) years’ experience with day-to-day management of a small to mid-sized law firm. Other key responsibilities include law office accounting, such as billing and time entry, consolidating time entries, preparing initial drafts of bills to clients, administering the payroll, administering the firm’s benefit programs, preparing financial reports, and working with outside accountants on tax matters.
